Information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The situation with the Coronavirus is on everyone’s mind right now, and we are working hard to help and support our students that are currently on exchange programs. All around the world, many countries are closing their schools, limiting daily life and advising their citizens to return home. On this page, we will answer some of the questions that you might have regarding the Coronavirus and how it will affect current and future exchange students and trips. Be sure to return to this page for further updates.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions!

Current exchange student - How does this affect me and my trip?

We will keep you informed about the situation, by email and phone. We are in the process of contacting all students to provide instruction. It is our top priority to help and support you on your trip. We ask you to always follow the guidelines of your local authorities regarding health and safety during the Coronavirus outbreak. Feel free to contact your local coordinator or local office at any time if you have any specific questions or worries about your trip.

Going on an exchange year 20/21 - What happens if I’m unable to travel because of the Coronavirus?

Our most important priority is that you feel safe going on an exchange year. Even if the situation looks dim right now, we can see a positive trend in the countries where the virus first was experienced, and we are optimistic about the summer. If there are travel restrictions in place at the time of your departure which prevent you from travelling, we will:
  1. provide an alternative country
  2. defer the program to the future – either a flexible start date provided by the schools or postpone the program to the next intake
  3. refund program fees, including the application fee
